Probably the most dangerous word in all of politics...Apathy. It is a direct input of power for people who are power hungry. This is probably more of a rant than a discussion, but sometimes, things are worth being a little riled about. Apathy, or simply the act of not caring is extremely threatening to democracy. I see it first hand everyday, I know an apathetic who thinks that his world, and the things he loves about it will just continue, because he wants them to. Some politicians, and political activists rant about people who vote ignorantly. I think this is wrong. Voting, should be my, or anyone's right, even if they just like coloring the bubbles on the ballot. I respect those who chose not to vote because of their fear they do not know enough about the candidates, but I beg of you, vote for who you do know, leave the rest blank, at least....try. Because to just not care, those are the one's who are ignorant, and selfish. Apathy is the enemy of a democracy, and a tool of those who want more power.
